The Past of Science's Present and Future

The network is particularly strong in the area of science and politics. Within the broader context of researching historical perspectives on science, society and the political, a workshop on the Relation of Politics to the History of Science took place at the Centre Alexandre Koyré in Paris in June 2007. The work was continued with a second workshop on Governance of and through Science and Numbers: Notions, Categories and Tools, organised by the EHESS, Paris and the University of Bielefeld in 2008. A third meeting on Governance of Science – The Power of Concepts is being conceptualised for 2009.
